Un-Planned Parental Partner Derailment

Komen Foundation ends partnership with Planned Parenthood . . .

“We’re kind of reeling,” said Patrick Hurd, who is CEO of Planned Parenthood of Southeastern Virginia — recipient of a 2010 grant from Komen. Hurd’s wife, Betsi, is currently battling breast cancer.

“It sounds almost trite, going through this with Betsi, but cancer doesn’t care if you’re pro-choice, anti-choice, progressive, conservative,” Hurd said. “Victims of cancer could care less about people’s politics.”

Nice sentiment, Patrick…kinda’. And while no one wishes cancer upon anyone, and I certainly wish his wife Betsi well, he should think outside the myopic paradigm that leads him to make such a statement. While “cancer”doesn’t care about politics, people should. And supporting an organization whose main service, that of providing abortions to women, dramatically increases the rate of breast, ovarian and other cancers, they should care enough to think about how their personal situations affects the population in toto. Of course Planned Parenthood’s Mr. Hurd makes his living by butchering pre-born babies in utero. Now maybe he doesn’t personally commit the murder – but by supporting the organization to the point of willingly submitting to its employment (knowing full well what “business’ they’re about)……he aids & abets each and every savage & immoral murder committed by that abortion mill. And, in so doing, increases the likelihood of breast & other cancers in each and every “client”he ushers into Planned Parenthood’s operating rooms (even if he never actually comes into contact with any of the ill-fated young women).
If cancer were somehow personified…it WOULD care Mr. Hurd. It would, with an insatiable hunger, care if one were an abortionist. It would take you out to dinner, buy you a nice home and lobby you endlessly – because you’d be directly responsible for either providing it with its next meal or passing legislation to keep its horrendous appetite LEGAL.

So, while I sincerely hope your wife can be cured of her cancer…I also hope, and pray, that you may find a cure for the selfish & self-centered vanity that keeps your mortgage paid, your automobile gassed, your golf fees up to date…and drives millions of young women each year to the butcher’s knife; and millions of babies from ever seeing the light of day.

Who knows? Maybe one of those babies will grow up to be part of the medical team that one day finds a cure for the dreaded disease that is right now rocking your very world…

…as you destroy theirs.
