Soft

(See also ‘Hard‘)

This section in flux. The obvious 1st task of Apologetics is evangelism & secondarily to address skeptics. And for those tasks we have “hard” and “soft” answers/apologias. In the quote from 1 Peter, he means “ready” as an Olympic athlete: prepared to give an answer (apologia/defense) for the hope within us…but gently.

1 Peter 3:15

American Standard Version (ASV)

15 but sanctify in your hearts Christ as Lord: being ready always to give answer to every man that asketh you a reason concerning the hope that is in you, yet with meekness and fear:

Proverbs 15:1

A soft answer turneth away wrath; But a grievous word stirreth up anger.
